Delta Lloyd Asset Management
The company
Delta Lloyd Asset Management is active in all investment categories with the exception of real estate, which has been placed separately with Delta Lloyd N.V. The total capital under management was (ultimo 2005) approximately 47 billion Euros. Activities of Delta Lloyd Asset Management include management of approximately 70 institutional (pension) partners, the investments of the insurance companies of Delta Lloyd N.V. and the management of all Delta Lloyd Nagelmackers and Ohra investment funds.
The situation
In Belgium, Delta Lloyd Asset Management is a fairly new player in the investment funds market. For the new website there was a need for comprehensive information on the various investment funds. The information had to have an up-to-date character as well as show a clear picture of returns achieved in the past. Furthermore, all information had to meet the strict guidelines of the CBFA.
The solutions
In close consultation with Delta Lloyd Asset Management, the decision was made to show the information in the form of fact sheets and PDF files. For each investment fund, a fact sheet (in HTML) was created containing relevant information that is partially updated on a daily basis and includes prices and returns. The PDFs are generated quarterly. Of course, the information is supplied in two languages and tailor-made to the new Delta Lloyd style and tested against the CBFA guidelines.
The implementation
After Delta Lloyd Asset Management and Delta Lloyd Life provided input, vwd group took an inventory of all fields to be shown. Since some of the desired information appeared to deviate significantly from the commonly available information in the database, vwd group created a special satellite database. The daily updated information that is shown in the fact sheets and PDFs originates from this satellite database and the central database. Hosting of the fact sheets takes place at vwd group.
The benefits
After outsourcing the production of fact sheets, Delta Lloyd Asset Management Belgium has just one contact when it comes to the data. Because of the short communication lines between vwd group and the various Delta Lloyd units and the flexibility of vwd group, adjustments can be carried out quickly.
