The company
BinckBank N.V. has been a player in the Dutch financial markets since 2000. The company focuses on services for the online private investor, but is of service to professional investors as well. Activities are divided into three business units; 'Retail', 'Professional Services' and 'Trading'.

The situation
BinckBank (Binck) inventoried the various suppliers of financial information and applications in the Netherlands and Belgium. Binck wanted to launch a new website in Belgium containing international content as well as local specialised information, including investment funds and news.

The solutions
The supply of content by vwd group includes most European stock markets, sophisticated interactive charts, news coverage from Dow Jones Newswires and Tijd Realtime (In both Dutch and French languages in Belgium), fundamental analysis reports by De Belegger, Dutch and Belgian non-listed investment funds and price information of all 25.000 shares listed at New York. All information is supplied in the Dutch and French languages

Additionally, new investment funds, structured products and Eurobonds are added to the feed that is tailor-made to Binck. At Binck’s special request, vwd group is also taking in various stock and derivatives markets that were not yet available at that time.

The implementation
A number of consultations took place with Binck discussing the content, functionalities and design of the components, tailor-made solutions in the supply of Tijd Realtime, Dow Jones Newswires and De Belegger. Furthermore, vwd group has carried out an accelerated increase of the market supply and made various adjustments to the interactive charting module. Because of its size, the implementation of the entire project took a fair amount of time.
